Terence Agbor is a Clinical Biochemist at DynaLIFE Medical Laboratories with cross appointment as Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the University of Alberta, Canada. Before joining DynaLIFE, he worked as a consultant Biochemist at Kingston General Hospital. He has significant academic, research and teaching experiences in basic medical science as well as translational and clinical medicine. Prior to becoming a Clinical Chemist, Terence worked as a Postdoctoral researcher in UMASS Medical School, Worcester, USA and McMaster University (Canada) investigating the disease mechanisms and therapeutic targets of inflammatory bowel disease. He also worked as a Research Associate at the University of Waterloo in Ontario, Canada where he used siRNA technology to target tumors.
Terence holds a Bachelor in Medical Laboratory Science ((Hons) – University of Buea, a MSc. in Medical and Pharmaceutical Research with Distinction from the Vrije Universiteit Brussel, Belgium, a PhD in Medical Sciences (University College Dublin) and a Postdoctoral Certificate in Clinical Chemistry from McMaster University. He is a Certified Clinical Biochemist and a Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Clinical Biochemistry.
Terence has a strong passion in preventive medicine as means of improving healthcare through hygiene, lifestyle change and education.
