This week, Wholesome Health Promotion (WHP) formally launched its “Mask Up!” COVID-19 awareness campaign in Cameroon. The campaign began with the placing of sensitization billboards in Buea and Limbe.

The billboards encourage the public to get vaccinated, whenever possible, while still respecting standard barrier measures recommended by health experts, namely:

• Washing Hands
• Maintaining Social Distance, and
• Wearing Masks, especially in spaces where distancing is not possible.

The COVID-19 awareness campaign will continue throughout the year with the donation of WHP-branded cloth masks,  medical masks, face shields  and other personal protective equipment to medical personnel and the general public.

As we have learned in the past year, face masks combined with other preventive measures help slow the spread of the virus.
