Obi Agborbesong, MD, FACS, is a board-certified General Surgeon at Methodist Health System.
Dr. Agborbesong earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Missouri – Kansas City. She subsequently obtained her Doctor of Medicine and completed her General Surgery residency at the University of Kansas School of Medicine (Wichita).
Dr. Agborbesong served in the United States Air Force, where she held various leadership positions and was awarded the Air and Space Commendation Medal. She was honorably discharged at the rank of Major.
With over 20 years of healthcare experience, Dr. Agborbesong remains passionate about mentoring, teaching, empowering others, outreach activities, and surgical innovation.
Outside of her professional life, she enjoys running, hiking, traveling, and spending time with family and her three dogs.
